St. Vincent De Paul – “it is with renewed devotion, then, that we must serve the poor. They have been given to us as our masters and patrons”. The society is “a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.”
We at St. Vincent de Paul Society Naples Council are blessed for the support we receive to allow us to carry out our mission and be able to assist those in need in our area. Our goal is to “Leave No Neighbor Behind” – Joe Granda, President of SVdP Naples.
About St. Vincent De Paul Naples
Mission: “A network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.”
For 50+ years we have been providing service and aid to those in need throughout all of Collier County, mostly operating as a volunteer-based society. Our core programs are Financial Aid to the Needy (“Home Visits” core principle in showing respect and compassion to those in need”), Meals on Wheels program, (we are the largest, privately funded MOW), Aid to the Homeless, and Life Skills Education programming taking our Home Visit process to the next steps of financial health with the powerful goal of achieving systemic change in the lives of seniors/individuals and families. We are blessed to have wonderful community business and grant sponsorship such as Collier Community Foundation, The League Club, Naples Woman’s Club, Empty Bowls Naples, Senior Friendship Centers, MidWest One Bank, SunTrust Bank, Fifth Third Bank, WinTrust Bank, Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL, and our generous independent private donors who provide the majority of our funding. It is important to note, SVdP Naples operates thrift stores in support of furniture, household items, and clothing to those in need via generous donations from the community while also funding our administrative costs via store sales. Also important to note, SVdP ministries is represented at the Family Assistance Center on Mercantile Ave. as well as the eight Catholic parishes of Naples.
